Malevolent Creation's first record without original singer Brett Hoffman found the band continuing to refine their approach. The Floridian (via Buffalo) death metal act tosses in some decidedly "alterna" riffs, perhaps in a bid to reach a wider audience. But despite that small blip, this is a record by one of death metal's overlooked bands in.

Malevolent Creation was formed in in Buffalo, New York by Bret Hoffmann (vocals), Phil Fasciana (guitar) and Jeff Juszkiewicz (guitar). During their first years they made two demos and in their first full-length album, "The Ten Commandments", was released by Roadrunner Records.

After some time of personal turmoil and an album ('s "Stillborn") which many fans rejected and therefore turned on the band, MC comes back strong with "Eternal". "Eternal" is probably the most different sounding Malevolent Creation record when compared to the rest of the band's catalogue/5(23).
